We built Sleuthly to make people-search honest.
Most people-search sites hide their price, trap you in subscriptions, and frame you as someone to be ashamed of. We do the opposite: public data only, the source of every result, and a one-click opt-out, for free.
- Public data only
- Every result is source-linked
- Opt out anytime
- No subscription traps
There’s a real, legitimate need: to check what’s public about yourself, to verify a match before a date, to know who you’re about to deal with. The category that serves this need earned a bad name, hidden fees, fake opt-outs, a surveillance vibe.
We think you can serve that need honestly: by reading only what’s already public, always showing where it came from, and letting anyone remove themselves at any time. That’s the whole idea.
Our ethical pact
The promises we hold ourselves to
We read public presence. We don’t build it.
We surface what’s already public, always citing where it came from. We never fabricate, manipulate or invent identities, and we never bypass logins or access private areas.
Every result shows its source.
If we can’t tell you where something came from, we don’t show it. Matches are clues, not proof, we label uncertain ones “Potential match, verify the source.”
You can leave anytime, for free.
One-click opt-out, no account, and we remove you from our actual index, not just from view.
Remove yourself →We won’t be a tool for harassment.
We block searches on minors, throttle abuse patterns, and ban misuse. There’s a real channel for victims and third parties.
Report abuse →No subscription traps.
Transparent pay-per-report. The full price, at the right moment, never hidden.
